Assessment Package
                            Education Pays Off

MAJOR QUESTS, LLC specializes in the needs of young adults making decisions related to their future course of study or life’s work. Major Quest offers a comprehensive package of personality based career assessments that identify preferences, values, interests, and abilities related to career choice. These factors are then used to identify career fields with the highest probability of satisfaction.

The Major Quest Career Assessment Package combines three highly respected measures of personality, interests, values, and abilities. It includes the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Strong Interest Inventory, and the Highlands Ability Battery.  Each assessment can be taken on-line at the client’s convenience.

Career development experts agree that effective decisions are based on a thorough understanding of one's personality. Testing experts agree assessments become more reliable when used in conjunction with other instruments. The ability of any single assessment to predict career direction increases dramatically when agreement exists between multiple tests. Major Quest looks for the areas of agreement between the three above-mentioned assessments.

Assessments Reports

Clients receive a detailed written report for each assessment. These reports are mailed to the client prior to scheduling an in-depth feedback session. Each report contains a large amount of information to absorb, so time is provided for the client to review the material. Parents are provided a copy of their student’s reports. The Assessments Page on this website contains detailed information on what clients learn from each assessment.

Assessment reports focus on the strengths in a client’s personality. These reports identify specific gifts and talents for each personality type as well as the career fields and majors associated with it. Each personality type can be challenged by certain tasks and situations. Clients are provided specific strategies for meeting these challenges. Throughout the reports, clients are given clear “next steps” for continuing their career development.

Feedback Sessions

An individual feedback session is scheduled once a client has had time to read his or her assessment reports. Feedback can take up to three hours. The feedback session is conducted either by telephone or in-person. It will typically be scheduled in two sessions. With permission, feedback sessions are recorded, and the client is sent a compact disc recording of their session. Parents of students are invited to attend feedback sessions.

Group Feedbacks

Group feedback sessions are available for schools, youth groups, churches, camps, or interested parties. Information pertinent to understanding each assessment is presented generically during these sessions. The results of client assessments remain confidential. Individual feedback sessions are scheduled for each client following the group feedback session. The group feedback option can reduce the cost for each individual client.
